CANTON TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS
Residents are required to recycle as per the Municipal Waste Planning, Recycling and Waste Reduction Act of July 28, 1988, P.L. 556 No. 101.
Below is a list of items that are to be recycled:
- Paper
- Food & Beverage Cans
- Plastic Bottles, Jars and Jugs (narrow neck containers labeled #1 & #2)
- Flattened Cardboard & Paperboard
NO BAGGED RECYCLABLES
Recycling containers are available at the Municipal Building located at 1265 West Chestnut Street, Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and Friday 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Please call 724-225-8990 for more information.
The first container to new residents is free. Additional or replacement containers are at a cost of $15 each.
Recyclables are picked up the 3rd Monday of each month.
