Recycling is mandatory in Canton Twp. Waste Management is the
collection company for recyclables. Recyclables are picked up the
first Monday of each month. Recycling containers are available at the
Township Building and the first container to new township residents is
free and additional containers are at a cost of $13.00 each.
All households, homeowners,
commercial, industrial and institutional establishments within the
Township shall utilize the services of a licensed collector for
disposal of their domestic waste or household waste.

Parking on Township roads is against Township
ordinances, especially during periods of snow your
vehicle can be towed
It is against Township
ordinance to place snow in the road from your driveway
must be kept clear of snow and debris, property owners are
responsible for keeping fire hydrants that are on their property
clear of snow and debris.
Outdoor Fires are
only allowed by obtaining a signed burning permit from Canton
Township, call the Code Enforcement Officer for details
are permitted without a permit but must be no larger than 2 feet
high by 4 feet in diameter and must be within a non combustible ring
such as stone or brick. Recreational fires shall be extinguished
thoroughly before leaving the area or at 11 p.m .and a water hose
and/or buckets shall be proximal to the recreational fire for
purposes of controlling the same.
